Daisy Dexter Dobbs, New Release!

Finding Cupid by Daisy Dexter Dobbs NEW from
Daisy Dexter Dobbs!

A resident of Mount Olympus and student at Cupid
Academy, Lula travels to Earth as part of her final exam for the Perfect Love Matches 101 course. Capricious and absentminded, she's determined to make a positive impression on Cupid, who'll be traveling incognito. To her horror, flight turbulence whips Lula's class materials out of the chariot.
Without her map to Cupid's Earthly headquarters or her invisibility garb, the naïve nymph is in trouble.

Hunky, macho electrical contractor Dake Dronyer is in hell. At least that's how he feels manning Cupid's Headquarters, his gay brother's girly flower shop, during an emergency. When a gorgeous, curvy, nearly naked blonde bursts into the shop, talking of such bizarre things as nymphs, Cupid, chariots and invisible wings, things start looking up. Dake's captivated, and wild with desire.

Of course, he's certain she's nuts. And probably a hooker.

Lula's thrilled. At last, she's found Cupid!

Thirteen Things I've Discovered This Week

1... This is hilarious! It's a program where you add your face,

just made it sound, I promise!

2... This is a downloadable program for writers in which you
can add your submission info, and keep track of all of them;
when you submitted them, to what publisher, etc. Very cool!
The link is to the page with other programs, and the one you
want to track your submissions is called Sonar.

3... I am a delightful Diva ;) Fifty posts today!

4... My sister lost her five and a half month quit :(

5... Stacy Dawn has a new book out. Wanna Make A Bet?

6... A very interesting, very funny video. Remember those days??
How did we bear it?!

7... I still miss Mister Rogers

8... Babel Fish is fun ;)

9... I'm addicted to diet coke

10.. I'm addicted to blogging

Quiet and Calm

Nothing spectacular is happening; I haven't heard from any publishers saying, 'we want your books!' or anything of that nature;)

I started a new book today, along with the three I'm working on now. I don't know why I have to work on so many different ones at once, but that's how it is. This new one is going to be the full length novel, though, and the other three include two shorts and a novella. So I figure that's okay. I needed a novel in the mix.

This latest book is so in the early stages that I won't give any details just yet. I've got the outline pretty much in place, something I rarely do since I'm quite the pantster, and I'm thinking to do this one as a series.

It's hard to map out books, in my opinion. I want to sit down and write the story. Sometimes that gets me into trouble, but most times it's fine.
I just feel like this new one is going to require a lot of planning, so I'm going to plan and plot and outline :)

Music, Writing, and Thanks

I got in the mood for Bryan Adams tonight.
I haven't listened to him for such a long time, and I remember being in love with certain songs of his. And with him, if you want to know the truth :)

Heaven, and Everything I Do, All For Love, Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman, Straight From The Heart, Please Forgive me, Cuts Like A Knife, When You love Someone....sigh. He just brings back memories.

I've written on three of my books today. A little on two of them, a lot on one. I've been in touch with a clinical psychologist who is answering my research questions with such tireless patience that I just put up an acknowledgments page on my website so that I could thank her and the others whose advice and information I wouldn't want to be without.

I also had a much needed laugh from a blog I read today. Fabulous! ;)

my ATCs

I finally got some of my drawings online in the form of Artist Trading Cards, and you can find them here.

I put seventeen of them on my website, and I'll probably put more up often, so check back. :)

I don't have much to say tonight, but I did want to let you know that the ATCs are up.

Goodnight!

Lack of Confidence and T13

I'm just going to copy and paste what I wrote in my WP blog tonight:

Today I started blogging the Thursday Thirteen, which I had seen around but wasn’t sure about. It’s actually pretty fun:) Just have to think of 13 things to write about every Thursday.

It’s in my livejournal blog and the link is above, so check it out!

Today I’m having a slight dip in my confidence. I don’t know why. Maybe that happens to all writers. Maybe not.

I hope that by tomorrow I’ll be back on track. Because this does not feel good.

Meanwhile, today I got a scanner to replace my broken one, so tomorrow I’ll be putting my ATC’s on my website. Maybe. Or maybe I’ll feel like they are crap too and aren’t worthy of posting! Sigh. I’ve got to snap out of it!

Website Updates

I've been working on my website all day, and have most of the pages updated. Not all of them, but I'm getting there.

I've updated my books page with titles and blurbs, and updated some graphics. Celia Kyle, a writer I met at Romance Divas, made me some headers for my website and a banner for my sigs and emails, etc.

Also the Divas gave me suggestions for my tagline, and I've chosen two, so far.

Feel the Fantasy
and
Your Fantasy, My Litereality

I'm always open for more suggestions, so if you think of a good one, let me know!:)

Off to write now!

Productive

I feel that today was productive; I finally got Amethyst Eyes all finished, edited, and sent off to EC along with the blurb and the synopsis--and have I mentioned how much I hate doing the synopsis?

I've also written a bit on my other somewhat neglected short, and am beginning a novel.
I blogged at myspace, and really hate writing the same stuff in each blog, but I wrote about todays submission to EC there too.

Still spending a lot of time at Romance Divas, and I am so glad that Shelli hooked me up there! I could spend hours just reading. So much there to read!

Here it is two am and I have things to do before bed, so I'm off.

Goodnight, everybody :)

Bridge Collapse

My thoughts are with the victims and their families of the bridge collapse in Minneapolis..
What a horrifying, terrible thing to happen.

Not a Rejection

I got an email from EC today, the short (Danika's Giant) I submitted made it past the initial review, and I was so happy when I read that. I saw it come in and couldn't read it at first, I had to take a minute to tell myself, 'it's okay if it's a rejection. You'll just keep writing and keep submitting...' and finally I peeked at it and saw that it was not a rejection, and I was very happy! That was my first submission. Now I just have to wait and see what happens. That can take awhile, so I'll be patient.

Tomorrow I submit The Healer's Love to Brava...or I might hold off for a couple of days. I'm not sure yet.

Today was a good day:)

My writing blog here is more in depth, so take a look if you'd like. I'm about all written out tonight.
Goodnight everyone..
